A commissioned painting is more than a likeness. It begins with something that matters to you – a person, an animal, a memory, a feeling, a moment you want to hold onto. You bring me the idea.
I bring my perspective, my colors, my brush — and everything that makes my work my own.
Together, we set something entirely personal in motion.
The painting is not planned down to every detail. I leave room for color, form, and intuition to unfold — for something unexpected to emerge along the way.
The result is a one-of-a-kind work, created especially for you — something that belongs to your story and that you can keep discovering over time.
process
It all starts with a conversation.
Tell me what you have in mind — what moves you, who or what you would like to see on the canvas, and what you hope the painting will feel like.
From there, we explore the possibilities together — the idea, the feeling, the mood, and the details that matter to you.
Then I take it from there.
The painting begins to unfold in my studio, layer by layer, as your idea and my artistic interpretation come together in a work that is uniquely yours.
time and shipping
Every painting needs its own time to unfold.
Depending on the size and complexity of the work, as well as my current studio schedule, a commission can take between one and six months.
Once it is finished, your painting can make its way to you — wherever in the world you are.
