Christina Seidl is a visual artist whose practice focuses on figurative-abstract mixed-media works.

She trained at the Milan Art Institute. Growing up closely connected to her surroundings, she developed an early sensitivity to expression, rhythm, and physical presence — first through music and movement, and later increasingly through painting.

Her path into visual art did not begin early, but it was deliberate. After years of feeling drawn towards art, she eventually decided to take her artistic talent seriously and pursue professional training. With discipline and persistence, she built a strong technical and conceptual foundation — driven by the decision to pursue art not as a hobby, but as a long-term profession.

Her work moves between strength and softness, freedom and connection, spontaneity and precision. People and animals are at the heart of her visual world, representing different forms of strength, freedom, gentleness, and wildness. Her fascination with what people are capable of creating and achieving finds its way into her work alongside an awareness of the quieter, more vulnerable sides of being human.

The creative process itself follows this movement. Each painting begins openly and playfully: paint, spray, ink, markers, and other materials are allowed to interact freely. Gradually, the background becomes more defined, the subject finds its place, and the work becomes increasingly precise. During the final hours of each painting, she focuses on the finest details — bringing the initial freedom of the process together with concentrated precision in the finished work.

Christina is currently working continuously on new bodies of work while preparing for upcoming exhibitions and art fairs. Her works are already held in private and public collections in Germany and Switzerland. At the same time, she sees her artistic development as an open-ended process. She continually questions her visual language, experiments with new approaches, and allows her work to evolve from what genuinely interests and moves her. Rather than defining her art through a fixed formula, she is committed to continually deepening and expanding her own visual language.

“I’m fascinated by the human experience in all its complexity — by all the different sides that live within us, but don’t always get space. I believe there is a particular kind of strength in no longer having to choose between being strong and soft, powerful and vulnerable, but being all of it at once.”

In my art, I explore strength, courage, and clarity — alongside the softness, tenderness, and vulnerability that exist within us at the same time. This coexistence is reflected in my portraits of women as well as in my animal paintings, where each subject embodies its own form of strength, freedom, gentleness, or wildness. I’m fascinated by what moves us as human beings, what we are capable of creating, and what we are capable of becoming.
